Current Openings

The Project Manager works under the guidance of the Operation Manager, he oversees all day-to-day landscape business. Oversee all customer interface and labour relations aspects of the projects; -- customer contract management, labour logistics, labour training, and equipment/vehicles/fleet management of their division.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

♦  Project Management

Develop and deliver project management program encompassing all the details of project to the respective team members.

Set realistic and practical goals for projects. Moreover, also develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals.

Supervise project documentation and attend project meetings.

Evaluate the progress of project on regular basis.

Inspect projects to ensure all work is performed to design specifications and in accordance with the standards of the company.

Conduct regular meetings with the project team to evaluate and discuss progress on all current projects.

Ensure that completed projects meet the specification and predetermined internal quality standards.

Ensure effective close-out of projects, ensuring all contract deliverables are handed-over, necessary records are in-place and financial aspects are settled.

Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions for public sector projects.

Manages to cost, schedule, safety, quality and contractual requirements of all projects through effective plan in accordance with company procedures and standards.

♦  Client / Consultant Management

Regular meetings with the consultants, clients & other entities as required.

Focal point for clients.

Development and implementation of strategies to meet client requirements and maintain a dynamic and committed continuous improvement approach.

Establishes & maintains effective relationships with all Public/Private sector clients, to gain their trust & respect.

Oversee changes as suggested by the client / consultants and ensure that any such change is delivered on-time, on-budget and meets the business needs.

Anticipates and responds quickly and appropriately to client/consultant needs, inquiries and issues.

Ensure collections from projects by chasing overdue invoices within agreed timescales.

♦  Site Management

Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform said tasks.

Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all project staff.

Establishes performance as a key project priority; thus consistently delivering timely work by leading the team.

Builds a team environment founded on mutual respect and collaboration, manages conflict well and consistently treats people.

Ensure HSE of the projects are up to the agreed standards of the company.

Reporting any unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve service quality and safety standards to the Operations Manager.

Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate operational activities. 

♦  People Management

Builds an environment in which site employees willingly produce maximum work.

Establishes and maintains employee management activities to ensure employee motivation, training and development.

Maintain and support operational goals and objectives.

Orientate, train, develop all site staff under span of control.

Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate services are rendered to all areas.

Establishes performance as a key company priority; consistently delivers timely work personally or by leading a team.

 

Key Skills:

  • Strong speaking skills to be able to give clear orders, explain complex information to project team and clients, and discuss technical details with other landscaping specialists.
  • Must possess strong time-management skills.
  • Must be an Agricultural Engineer.
  • Experience Working on Dubai Municipality & other government projects.
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, organize, plan and manage time effectively.
  • Proven experience running multiple project teams.
  • Strong financial understanding from costing new jobs through to understanding financial reports.
  • Strong knowledge on supervising the enhancement project and taking part in handing over process.

The Commercial Director’s main tasks will be managing contracts including renewals; variations; disputes and the evaluation and winning of new contracts/framework opportunities.

The role has a mixed contractual/financial basis and for efficiency is intended to be able to span the Operational and ‘New’ business arenas.


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
  • Proactive management of multiple contracts and short and long-term contracting relationships with clients and vendors
  • Maintaining a Database of contracts within the company that will inform the business as to the key milestones for each of those contracts such as expiry, compliance, uplifts and key clauses
  • Reporting key contractual information on a monthly basis to the Management
  • Analysis, evaluation and processing of variations to existing contracts
  • Resolution of disputes with contract partners
  • Negotiation of existing and new contracts
  • Take responsibility for projects commercial performance
  • Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to the management
  • Producing and updating risk summaries of existing and new contracts that can be used by the management to make strategic decisions
  • Managing consultants, clients & subcontractors
  • Analysis, evaluation and execution of changes beneficial to the company within existing contracts and the development of new proposals for expiring contracts
  • Close support to the management in order to support their operating business units and to provide advice on managing contracts and contractual relationships to the advantage of the company which includes attending regular meetings with contract partners
  • Producing and championing individual ongoing strategies for each contract
  • Financial appraisal of existing contracts and issues and also new contracts and framework opportunities (in partnership with the Finance team)
  • Provision of ‘operationalised’ contract summaries to inform the Operating business ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance teams understand and adhere to contractual obligations

 

Skills Required:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering, equivalent or higher.
  • Experience of leading teams on major construction projects
  • Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
  • Fully experienced in all aspects of contract administration ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
  • Procurement experience on large value contracts
  • Significant experience of claims preparation and dispute avoidance/resolution.
  • Be able to assist in Business Development
